How Many Days of Videos Can a Memory card Hold?

The duration of TF card recording depends on the capacity and recording mode of the TF card; Take a 32G TF card with 24h recording on 4G device as an example.

At SD resolution, it can save videos for about 7.5 days.

At HD resolution, it can save videos for about 5.5 days.

At UHD resolution, it can save videos for about 3.65 days.

The corresponding camera stream is as follows;

  • WiFi camera: UHD 1Mb/s, HD 768kb/s, SD 512Kb/s;
  • 4G camera:UHD 768kb/s, HD 512kb/s, SD 384kb/s;
  • Dual lens linkage camera: UHD 768kb/s, HD 512kb/s, SD 384kb/s;

Taking 4G device as an example, with a 32G TF card, the calculation method is as follows;

When using a 384Kb/S stream for 24h recording, approximately memory usage per day is

384*3600*24/8/1024/1024/0.9 =4.39GB/Day

The approximate number of days that a 32GB TF card can store in cycles is: 32/4.39=7.5 days

The storage days may vary in different environments and cameras. Please refer to the actual situation. The TF card will reserve 800M of space for video loop storage.

  1. Cameras used on O-KAM Pro support TF card of 4G.8G.16G.32G.64G.128G.
  2. Some models supports max 256G TF card ( exFat model)

Note: The actual monitoring environment of the camera and the actual file size packaged shall prevail. The above instructions are for reference only.
