When Adding O-KAM Pro Camera, “WiFi Connection Failed” Voice Prompts

It is usually caused by the following reasons, please check in order:

WiFi password error, verification method:

1. Using a phone that supports WiFi sharing, enter the WiFi settings, click on the connected WiFi, take a screenshot of the WiFi QR code, and use WeChat to scan it. The character between P: and the semicolon is the WiFi password. For example, the WiFi name is “VEEPAITest”, the password is “88888888”, and the WiFi character recognized by WeChat is “WiFi: T: WPA; S: VEEPAITest; P: 8888888888;”.

2. In the phone’s WiFi settings, disconnect the connected WiFi and reconnect it to confirm if the WiFi is incorrect.

3. Enter the router management page to view the WiFi password.

After the confirmation of WiFi password, reset the camera and add it again. On the WiFi password input page, click the “Eye” button behind the password box to re-enter WiFi password.

Camera failure, two verification methods:

1. Turn on the hotspots of another phone as a router, reset the camera, and try adding it again. If you can successfully add the camera via the phone’s hotspots, it indicates that the camera is working properly.

2. Reset the camera, go to the WiFi settings, choose @IPC_ XXXX hotspots and connect, then open O-KAM Pro App. If it can be connected and monitored normally, it indicates that the camera is normal.

If the “@IPC_XXXX” hotspots cannot be found in the phone’s WiFi settings after the camera is reset, or if the hotspots name is “@ IPC_000000”, it indicates that there is a problem with the initial ID of the camera. Contact after-sales and send the camera to factory for repair.

Router failure:

1. Restart the router and try again.

2. Check if the WiFi connected to the phone is in the 2.4G frequency band.

3. Enter the router management page and check if the router has enabled firewall and anti scraping. If yes, please disable it.

4. Does not support WiFi of WPA/WPA2 enterprise level.

5. If you are using an optical modem, it is recommended to add a router and connect the camera to the router’s WiFi.
